Honestly, the playoffs were out of the picture before the season began. I think we'll finish with about six wins, but we may end up 8-8 if a lot breaks right for us.

Yes, I know that the Giants are supposed to be built to "win now' and maybe they can rack some up over the second half of the season, but don't forget that most of us had them pegged to have a losing season this year when the schedule was announced. I don't think any of us thought they were a "win now" team, Eli or not. You can't fix everything in a year. At least 2/5 of the line still sucks (I think Greco will end up better than Halapio though) and we pretty much don't have any pass rush. 6 wins sounds good this year. Next year is where we'll shine with more spending cash and a more cohesive team.

Gotta hope this o-line gells. Might take a while but if they keep sucking this bad I think 6 wins is the ceiling, and that might be generous. Dallas is not very good.

Gotta agree with everything here. Also: 1. Engram led all TEs in drops last year and had three today on five targets. Considering that the guy I wanted (George Kittle) is looking pretty fantastic AND actually blocks too, I'm going to be really pissed if this asshole doesn't pull it together. 2. I keyed in on Omameh for about five plays. He looked bad in all five of them. I agree that Ereck Flowers is trash but I think we may just be stuck with trash this year. Not much we can do about it; we have something like 500k in cap space. 3. That returner is an asshole, but I was very encouraged by Rosas on special teams. Punter looked good too. 4. Barkley is gonna be a player. After the pick 6, that game would have been over last year. Barkley at least made it interesting.

I remember Bleedin was super high on Spencer Paysinger because there was a report in the Post that he'd been at the facility training all offseason. Training in the offseason is of course never a bad thing, but I think Ereck Flowers and Bobby Hart have shown definitively that you can do all the offseason prep work in the world and still suck at the end of the day.
