  1. Somebody on here was saying a few years back that's teams don't really expect 3rd round picks to contribute, which I thought was pretty funny.
  2. Two third round picks contributing? That's two more than Jerry Reese had in 14 seasons.
  3. A groin is like your weenie, right? Why are all these players pulling their weenies?
  4. First the bad... Nate Solder has only a 66.0 rating from Pro Football Focus through the first 3 weeks of the season, good for 27th best offensive tackle so far. The good news... the other free agents from this summer are actually doing worse. Andre Smith (Cincinnati Bengals): 59.3 Andrew Norwell (Jaguars): 57.4, No. 54 overall offensive guard Chris Hubbard (Browns): 57.5, No. 55 offensive tackle Weston Richburg (49ers): 60.4, No. 20 overall center Justin Pugh (Arizona Cardinals): 51.3, No. 64 overall guard
  5. This offense already puts me to sleep, but thanks.
  6. I'm not trying to get into a pissing match, but what do you mean "everything else he brings to the table?" I appreciate that he's a try-hard blocker but he's unfortunately not a very good one, and he has the potential to be a great receiving TE but he has as much many big drops as big catches so far in his career. At the end of the day I just expect more out of a first round TE than what we've gotten, but admittedly he's still super young and could be special someday. I'd be lying too if I said I wasn't worried about the injuries.
  7. He's a legit buzzkill too with the drops. He catches those balls in Jacksonville we might end up with a different result.
  8. At least 85 actually catches the ball. Engram led the league in TE drops last year and was on his way this year too before the injury.
  9. That Evan Engram really hasn't impressed me so far even when he's healthy, if we're being honest.
  10. If the draft were today, my priorities would be: 1. Eli's successor (even though I think he's played pretty well). 2. O-line 3. LB or Secondary
  11. That Texans defense was going for the knees every play. Total scumbag move.
  12. Nice win. More of a Texans loss though if we're being honest, but I'll take it.
  13. Annd... back to last week's O-line.
  14. The Giants aren't playing to win. They're playing not to lose.
  15. Nice to see we are still run the giveup draw.
  16. Roy Williams. They put in the horse collar rule specifically for him and he would still have 2 each game that were never flagged.
  17. So glad we kept Kerry Wynn. He's become a very nice player.
  18. Yeah but you should aim for the thighs, not the knees. We teach the same thing in youth football.
  19. Texans are playing very dirty. Their defensive backfield goes for the knees on every play.
  20. It's early and he's a rookie and all the stuff I said before, but something is different with this kid. It wasn't just him... literally everyone on that team started playing better. They might not be contenders anytime soon but I could definitely see them being competitive if he doesn't self-destruct.
  21. The game was on at work last night so I more or less watched the whole thing. Yeah, it's one game... yeah, he's a rookie... but that Browns team looked 100% different the second Mayfield stepped onto the field. The guy throws the ball with zip and looks to have good pocket awareness (he avoided some sacks I wish Eli could get out of). Even with the sound off, the moxie that kid brings to the team is palpable. It sure looked like that stadium was sold out and the fans were SO happy to get a win. It was pretty tough not to feel good for that team and their fans last night. Almost two years since their last victory.
  22. Start LAULETTA? Kyle Lauletta probably shouldn't be on an NFL roster. He was the worst QB in preseason and doesn't have the size, strength, or (as of now) smarts to be an NFL caliber QB. Dude is a career backup at best and to me he didn't even look like that.
  23. It's true the O-line is shit, but as someone pointed out, that's because nobody knows what to do on stunts. These guys played together for five quarters before the first game. That's it. They look confused and out of place much more than they look overmatched (though they sometimes look that way too). They have a chance to be adequate, maybe even decent-to-good, but if they're missing assignments because they're not very smart as opposed to just all being new this is gonna be a long season. People are shitting on the offense (and rightfully so) but as Tom Baby will tell you, nobody throws the ball very well on their ass.
