  1. He's awful. On the plus side for him, he's guaranteed at least 250 yards and 3TD this season so long as he's not injured for the two Giants games.
  2. Two years ago the list I wanted was: Lamp Cunningham Perine Kittle Brantley We ended up with: Engram Tomlinson Webb Gallman Moss Honestly, while we hit on a few of those players, I'd rather we had drafted the guys I wanted.
  3. Yeah I can't blame him, I think most of us would do the same thing, but I couldn't in good confidence draft him. His brother is constantly injured all the time too and the kid just missed basically his entire season with an injury.
  4. That was back in September. We already have a DE that's shut down by September. Not interested.
  5. I'm actually not high on Bosa. We've had enough injury problems to take a chance on a guy that missed almost the whole 2018 season.
  6. I know the talk has been all about the QBs so far, but two guys I'd be ecstatic to see on the team are these two guys: Quinnen Williams: Last year I posted about how I didn't think Quentin Nelson was an actual human being because he was so immensely strong. I feel the same way about this guy, but on defense. I've watched film of this guy pushing around 300lb linemen like they were tub toys. He's not the most agile in the world, but he does have very good straight ahead speed and interior linemen usually don't have to stop on a dime anyway. I think you can get Aaron Donald type production out of him and he'd look great either as a pass-rushing NT or at DE in a 3-4 defense. Josh Allen - I originally watched some highlight-reel stuff of this guy and didn't see what the big deal was... every play was him flying untouched into the backfield... they were plays I could have made. I dug a little deeper and I think this kid could be along the lines of a Javon Kearse type. Very fast, fluid hips, able to dip and bend, strong hands to clasp onto ballcarriers. Uses his hands well to punch and disrupt at the line and disengage from blockers. Good change of direction and surprisingly decent in coverage. This kid has the length and size to play DE in a 4-3 but also the speed and flexibility to be a linebacker in a 3-4 alignment. I realize it's unlikely that either of these guys will be there at 6, but if a few teams fall in love with Haskins and Murray, maybe we'll get lucky and one of the two falls in our laps.
  7. Because people need something to talk about and are insufferably stupid.
  8. I'm in the latter camp as well. We'll be paying the price for over a decade of shitty Reese drafts and Coughlin "everyone is on IR by week five" conditioning program for at least another year or two. There's also a distinct possibility we suck for a long time. I'd be OK with seven wins next year, but I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with less than that. I think 5-6 is probably the ceiling again, but let's see what happens in FA and the draft.
  9. Maybe. I've only watched highlights of maybe two games, but everything was one-read or RPO. Once DBs start sitting on those routes he's going to have a really hard time if he can't go through progressions. Those gimmicks only get you so far as the run and shoot, pistol, wildcat, etc. has shown.
  10. Flacco is wacko anyway. It's also going to be very interesting to see what Harbaugh does once he realizes he's got a running back at QB. My guess is they eke out 7-9 wins or so but that guy is not the future.
  11. Yeah that was a total head-scratcher, especially with Tyrell Crosby still available. "Let's get rid of our hard working, statuesque, strong-armed, top-competition developmental QB and replace him with a weak-armed, undersized lazy guy who played against C-list competition."
  12. Me too. He's the defensive version of Quentin Nelson... so freakishly strong and athletic that you sometimes wonder if he's actually a human being.
  13. Aren't there any teams in the Northeast? Who the hell am I supposed to root for?
  14. So... what did he make... about 250k per carry this season?
  15. If you look back at those Reese drafts something like 95% of the players are out of the league now. However, I know I harp on this quite a bit, but you do have to put some blame on Coughlin's bottom-of-the-league conditioning program for a lot of that as well. Take a look at some of these high-round pics and what became of them: Steve Smith: hurt Jay Alford: hurt Kenny Phillips: hurt Terrell Thomas: hurt Mario Manningham: hurt Hakeem Nicks: hurt Clint Sintim: hurt Will Beatty: hurt JPP: hurt David Wilson: hurt Justin Pugh: hurt Those probably aren't all Coughlin's fault either, and I think there's more blame on Reese than TC, but how many years did we have to lead the league in soft tissue injuries for that guy to make a change? More than 14 I guess.
  16. He's more mobile than Eli, but he's definitely not a runner. I don't know why people are knocking his arm strength though. All the highlight reels I've seen have him throwing 50 yard strikes. I know his short/intermediate game is much better than his long ball right now but he has an arm for it.
  17. Loved him. Also, it was three blockers.
  18. Yeah I skipped all this bullshit and played the Anthem demo.
  19. McIntosh was the apple of the coach's eye toward the end of the season.
  20. I don't know if Iupati is any good these days, but I wanted him a few years back. Reese thought we'd be OK rolling with John Jerry and Geoff Schwartz in the middle. Once again, fuck Jerry Reese.
  21. Whitworth wanted to be a Giant. But hey, on the plus side, we finally got to get rid of Jerry Reese.
  22. I really liked him as a person and player but yeah, he didn't contribute much.
