I'm as pissed as all of you are. However, there are a few things to note here: 1. The team had it's highest points output of the season last year in the games Beckham was out. The offense is likely to be fine. 2. Gettleman favors tall receivers instead of small, quick guys. Beckham's game is built on speed... but once that speed and quickness goes, his career is effectively over. Maybe the injury is worse than we thought. 3. Some of his comments and behavior has been distracting, though I will say that he seems to be a pretty good teammate. However, missing five games last year with a thigh bruise is definitely a little weird. 4. This is probably the most we'll ever get for him in a trade. 5. Yes he's awesome, but he has not shown up in big games (with an admittedly small sample size). I guess I'm just gonna trust the process. If he's injured by week six next year, Gettleman will look like a genius. If he's healthy for the whole season Getty's gonna be run out on a rail.

This is actually what I'm hoping for. If we trade and a team takes a rookie QB there's a good shot we end up in the top-5 again anyway.

The only two things I can think is his injury must be worse than we thought or he was way worse behind closed doors than he was in public. Dude has been the consummate teammate publicly but his numbers certainly dipped this year.

Yeah people keep saying "well Solder is a great tackle." Dude allowed 8 sacks in 7 games last year... that's not even "good." Second half of the year was much better but a good tackle doesn't usually suck for half the year. Hopefully CD is right and he just had to adjust to Eli's drop but he was bad for the first half of his final NE season too.

I really wanted Adrian Amos but I'll take it.

Well, between him and Witten that's 800 yards and 8tds against us already.

He'll probably be walking again in another two years.

At this point in his career, he'll probably only play in 6 games every season.
