Yeah I can't deny that... second half of the season he was very good. The problem with the adjustment spin is that he was pretty terrible the first half of this last few seasons in NE too.

I mean, the good news is now he has an excuse as to why he sucks the first half of the season. I keep hearing people say, 'well he's an above-average LT' but for the first half of the season he was arguably worse than Flowers. They were definitely in the same discussion play-wise.

I've been inching towards the "Mara is the problem" mindset for a while now too. Between turning the most coveted ticket in sports into a one-third empty stadium each weekend to the Eli mismanagement to the "uncharacteristic chewing out" of the team that now happens about four times a year, it's becoming obvious that this silver-spoon rich kid is benefiting from being born on third more so than any quality management on his part.

Honestly I'm not too worried about it. Whether it Jeremy Droppy or Plax or Hakeem Nicks or Tiki, when we lose a guy there's always a fair amount of hand-wringing but Eli bounces back... and occasionally wins the Super Bowl. Honestly, I think he performs better without the big egos on offense.
