  1. I've seen enough of 'em. I wasn't on the "Fire Shurmur" bandwagon but I am now. This is a really uncreative and terrible offense. Don't care how much the players like him. He's gotta go.
  2. Let's keep it real, Flaherty didn't do anything with those Giants O-lines in Coughlins waning years. The BBK guys used to bring up all the time about how "he made All Pros outta David Deihl and Sean O'Hara" and I'd yell at the radio "that was ten fuckin years ago!" Not like Reese gave him much to work with though...
  3. Definitely trying to do too much. He's had a few holes that'd be good for a 3 yard gain, but he'll bounce outside and lose us 2 yards instead.
  4. I'm actually excited to see Spencer Pulley and Nick Gates play today, even though "Gates" is almost as bad a last name to have on the O-line as "Turnstyle."
  5. He's making 4.6 million and is the eighth-highest contract on the team. He's not a bad player but we probably could have paid him half that.
  6. Pretty funny that the Giants outbid themselves when they leapt into 2016 free agency on the FIRST DAY TO SIGN... Rhett Ellison, that highly coveted TE that had those four catches one time.
  7. Pretty good read. For the record, I'd stick with Jones.
  8. While I generally agree, some of these comparisons aren't fair. It's not like he drafted Flowers or Chad Wheeler, or signed Halapio. Those guys were here before Getty got here and he already had a ton of housecleaning to do.
  9. Kareem Martin is still on the team?
  10. Saquon Barkley is in year two and he's pretty clearly trying to do too much as well.
  11. Honestly, I haven't seen that type of production since we cut Madison Hedgecock. No player will really be able to replicate the magic of the 'Cock swing pass.
  12. Stunner. To be fair though, I wanted Forrest Lamp.
  13. It was like magic. Start 6-2, finish 2-6, either lose first round of the playoffs in an embarrassing fashion or win the Super Bowl.
  14. I guess my biggest fear is that if Shurmur doesn't have it... but sticks around... and we have 100 million in cap room next year... we'll sign 2-3 impact players that consistently get us to 7-9 wins but not over the hump for the next four years. Which I guess would be an improvement.
  15. They had him singled up on Demarcus Lawrence a few times last night. That went really well.
  16. Yeah man it made zero sense. I have no idea why we made that trade.
  17. The strange thing is... we've been told for three years that we needed a TE like Evan Engram to "take the top off the defense" with seam routes. Has anybody on this board EVER seen him run a seam route?
  18. I mean... I do know ONE coach who lost four of his last five seasons with the Browns and turned out to be pretty good.
  19. The Giants were bad last season. Total bottom-feeders. This was the season where we were at least supposed to make a jump to "best of the bottom feeders," or possibly the middle of the pack. So far they haven't done that. If we beat the four bottom-feeders left on our schedule (Dolphins, Jets, Skins, Bengals) or at least split with them, I think Shurmur stays around. If we lose all four I think there's a possibility he's gone.
  20. That Leonard Williams was something else last night. I loved that play where he almost made a play.
  21. Still trying to figure out how it's ok to shove a WR to the ground on a route and not have it be interference.
