  1. Turned around two college bottom-feeders in record time. People hoping he can turn around this bottom-feeders in the same way.
  2. Halfway through his third season I'm not sure there was anybody more down on the guy. Now he's my all time favorite Giant. Really gonna miss seeing that guy in Blue.
  3. In order, I'd say: 1. LT - doesn't matter how awesome your sophomore QB is if he's on his back fifteen times a week. 2. EDGE - there is literally no pass rusher on this team. 3. MLB - for fuck's sake, before I die, can we please get an NFL caliber middle linebacker. 4. C - Halapio and whoever the other guy is both suck.
  4. Suckquon Bustley sounds like a hoe that should be cooking my dinner.
  5. Yeah I don't get the McDaniels love. Already failed once, fucked the Colts and Belichick has literally the worst coaching tree I've ever seen. Is there one guy he groomed that was successful elsewhere?
  6. Agreed 100%. But the crux of the original tweet is that "some people" are unsatisfied with the personnel in the front office "for decades." We've won two Super Bowls in those decades, what the fuck else do these "people" want? If the discussion is we've generally sucked the past six or seven years, there's no argument. If it's that we've sucked "for decades" because of the front office I'm sorry but that's just not the case. And not for nothing too, but how are people bitching out of one side of their mouth about all the turnover then bitching again that there's too much stability in the front office? You can't have it both ways... are the Giants a rudderless ship that flips personnel willy-nilly or are they too stubborn and hold onto everyone for too long?
  7. I guess it depends on how you look at it. In 15 years they're 119-121 which is decidedly mediocre, but they have five playoff appearances and two Super Bowl trophies. Outside of the Pats, Steelers, and Seahawks I think most teams would take that. Again, they're not Tampa Bay or Chicago or something.
  8. But you can't take those two Super Bowls away because we won those two Super Bowls. Outside of the Patriots there aren't really any dynasties in the league. Half the playoff teams are new every year. By no means am I saying we're in great shape but over the past 15 years I'd say we're in the top third for success in the league.
  9. Honestly I don't really understand this point of view. The team has won two Super Bowls in the past twelve years. It's not like they're Miami, Detroit, etc.
  10. What, you weren't into running behind Halapio for two yard losses a dozen times each week?
  11. Let's see how he does without Hal Hunter coaching him before we kick him to the curb.
  12. In a bad year... missing 4(?) games with an injury and coming back clearly not at 100 percent... dude still gets 1k yards and another 500 receiving. He's a straight up stud.
  13. The Detroit Lions are fucking assholes.
  14. It's an interesting situation for sure. The players have supported Shurmur publicly, but I wonder what they'll say privately once the season is over. Like I wrote in another thread, almost every game they had to "turn the corner" this season they failed at. And honestly, a lot of it was coaching. Being inflexible with the defensive schemes, uncreative play along (Saquon up the middle again for a two yard loss!), O-linemen not knowing blocking assignments, poor clock management, etc. The players have hung together for sure and that's to be commended, but aside from that and the improvement of Jones there's not much positive to talk about. I don't think any of us would argue that continuity is good, but continuity for the sake of itself alone is bollocks. Also... Shurmurs not any good, but he honestly might have been the best of the coaching candidates that year. Who else was available? Matt Patricia is probably out too. Steve Wilks? Lasted one season. Mc Daniels bailed on his team in a literally unprecedented move after they had agreed to hire him. This year there's a much more interesting/talented group available to pick from. I'd keep Gettleman and drop Shurmur.
  15. I don't fuck sheep, but I would run a daily train at Bo Peeps Ranch for 17 million dollars. These guys that can't stay off the lettuce for eight years are nuts.
  16. Or Josh Gordon could just not be a dumbass. There isn't much I wouldn't do for 17 million a year.
  17. Wow Marvin Lewis. I hadn't even thought of that. I could definitely live with that hire.
  18. Tom Coughlin came from Boston College and immediately built Jacksonville into a winner in two years.
  19. Cowboys losing certainly is. I can count on one hand the number of times the Lions have beaten Green Bay in my lifetime.
  20. Giants still have a chance to get the #2 overall pick. We just need the Lions to beat the Packers, the Redskins to beat the Cowboys, and to lose to the Eagles. Piece of cake.
  21. Yeah he did look good, and I know Washington sucks but they have a legit D-line.
