I don't want to jump to conclusions... but do you guys notice a trend here? We lose Tiki.. and the sky was supposed to fall... and we play even better.. shit we win the SB... We lose Strahan and Osi... and the sky was supposed to falling... then we play even better... we also lost Shockey... and we don't miss a beat.. then we lose Plax for a week.. and Hixon/Eli play lights out... I'm not drawing any conclusions here.. but something tells me Eli plays his best with less egos around him. Now, I ask you guys to comment on this...

I agree with you fully... the silver lining is the Giants tend to play up.. or down to the competition. I think they will be much more focused against tougher teams.

To be fair they're above .500. Lately they seem to unravel for whatever reason. I hope we don't take them lightly 2 weeks from now.. that's for sure. As far as Badegg, he is not a troll... he's a fan of team most people here hate.. a rival. I think you guys should think about the positives he brings to this board being a cowboy fan.

Egg, most of us didn't watch that Dallas game... mainly because of geography and coverage etc... and you're right our loss to the vikings was god awful... however, we were not touted as the best team .. at least on paper. I think what makes the Boys' fall so dramatic is the high expectations... winning hides a lot of issues and certainly the cowboys should've seen this coming... sure they won games but they have no defense... they have too many super-stars... on parole mind you.

Exactly. I didn't like it when the Giants gave him a new contract. Sure he played lights out the last few games of last season but that's not enough to warrant a huge contract.. not when he has 3 years remaining... and to see him pull a TO out there is embarrassing.

It's natural to be critical of anyone when does things half-ass and to praise him when he plays like he's supposed to. I'm one of Plax's biggest critics and when he played lights out (as he's expected to play), I praised him.

I agree with you.. Steve Smith is the most reliable wr we have... Plaxico plays up to par when he feels like it. Toomer is still a reliable veteran.
