  1. You read the entire thread didn't you?
  2. I'm not sure how anyone can "go back" and search links like that... I know I don't. Funny indeed.. also creepy.
  3. You're posting a link showing where I was frustrated with Eli.. and in same thread stated I could be dead wrong on it?
  4. I don't believe you and the Dog are the same person.. and I appreciate you rising to the level of a debater.. instead of just trash talk. As stated before (by others too not just me) I appreciate other points of view. So far our team has been surprisingly good.. I say surprisingly because the # of injuries we had.. the # of starters that were out for the season before the season started was freaky.... The fact our team has been able to weather the storm.. granted we've had somewhat easy schedule... no so much when you look at Buffalo, Philly, and NE.. but it pales in comparison to the 2nd half of the season. We know at the very end only one team wins the super bowl... so saying our team will be "eventually" exposed doesn't exactly make us hit the panic button... if we make the playoffs.. that's good.. if we win one or two games.. even better... but let's not get carried away and judge a team based on that last game in the playoffs.. should that team loses.
  5. Not sure in which thread this issue was raised.. this article basically cements what some of us have been saying.. in that it's Eli who's making players around him better.. much more than the other way around Eli Manning and his new receivers
  6. My next move is to have a "beer summit" with you and the Dog
  7. Jernigan? Maybe it's gut feeling on your part.. so far he's been S. Moss II.
  8. Exactly... just because they're young it doesn't mean they will be in blue the rest of their careers. Hopefully the Giants make a splash this year.. I can see it.
  9. 7 Years of better than average QBing.. consistent or not.. And he has a ring.. and he was the MVP of the SB. Looking at his entire career to this point.. I say he's been a solid QB... with an Elite status so far this year.
  10. Slight misspelling not withstanding I think the use of the word "Lockhartish" far outweighs the use of the word "assholism"... well played, Sir... well played
  11. I think looking at Eli's career I'd say he's been better than average. This year however he's playing at an Elite level. Let's give credit where credit is due... that's all I'm saying.
  12. I say beating the Eagles, Bills, and Patriots give us a pretty good feeling in our gut.... you are what your record say you are... and right now the niners are 7-1... and if we win that game.. we get philly... then Saints.. then Packers... can't think of a tougher stretch... if we get 2 out of those 4.. then we're 3-2 against arguably elite teams... And to think we are where we are after all those fucking injuries before the season even started... I dare anyone on this board to say we expected to be at 6-2 at this point.. the sky was falling.. and if we have to point to one player.. it would be our Little Manning...
  13. Exactly my point.. you and the Dog keep belittling our star.. .arguably the best player to dawn the Giants uniform since LT and our beloved Strahan... We on this board have been as tough on Eli as they come when we see him fucking up.. it's only right we praise him for taking his play to a higher level this season. The play of our QB has everything to do with our record.. as you know our run game has been anemic.
  14. This may be a move to get Scott on the filed.. noting more nothing less. Jernigan reminds me of S. Moss... bad feeling in my gut.
  15. Our run D is not as good as what it used to be but it's not like RBs have lit us up either. This week we face one of top rushing teams in the league with Frank Gore leading that attack.... at the end of the day what matters is who gets that W. But I'm sure if the Giants win that game, you and Egg would still downplay the event... It's sad because I happened to be one of those who gives credit where credit is due... notice our reaction to the Ware thread.. many of us stated our respect and admiration for him... maybe that's our persona... The Giants are 6-2.. and Eli is currently 5th in the league in QB rating and the best in the 4th qtr... you are what your record says you are.. and right not the team's record and Eli's record.. are.. Elite.
  16. Dog, the term "little eli" (even the "E" in eli isn't capitalized) is uttered quite liberally by you. An obvious indication of hatred for our QB. You can't possibly claim to be objective in your criticism for Eli. Say what you will about him but he's weathered far more criticism (even from within.. Tiki anyone?).. and he's reacted quite nicely to the spotlight in NY... he's playing in a tough city... and he's approached his job with humility and let his play do the talking.. and no personality issues like the Rivers and Ben. You may not like Eli.. but personally I love him.. he's a great QB and has given me and us fans some great great memories. I'm sorry but you will be hard pressed to find anyone in the league in the mold of Eli... his sense of humility alone makes him Elite.
  17. I think I can take credit for improving Egg's performance on this board. In a lot of ways I'm like Eli Manning.. I make everyone around me .. better
  18. What I said is.. and pretty much what everyone here said was Eli's performance so far this season has been Elite. Nothing more.. nothing less. You and the Dog seem to disagree... no surprise there... that's all there's to it.
  19. True.. and we all thought the Eagles would be unstoppable too.. at least some of us did. The difference here is those rankings are based on solid stats not projections.
  20. Definitely.. given where Smith and Boss are now.. I say Eli is making the team better. The knock against him is he's not a loud mouth.
  21. Dog and Egg.. I will say this.. The experts have the Giants ranked in the top 5 teams: Linky And the experts are saying Eli is a top 5 QB linky again Our record and Eli's performance this season both support both arguments.
