  1. I think they can't get the WR targets in because of the headsets.
  2. For reference, Eli Penny has more catches than Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay combined so far. How is Garrett still employed?
  3. We all know what's going to happen. We're 2-5 now. This team is going to go on a 5-5 run or 4-6 run, and we'll go 7-10 or 6-11. Just enough to say, "Well, it wasn't a complete disaster, and they showed progress....plus all the injuries derailed us." Even though I personally would not say that, and still think the coach/GM should be fired. But the Owner would have enough to sell to the fanbase, and enough of the fanbase would buy into this. Then we'll be back here in 2022 weeks one through seven in Sept-Oct suffering from giants losses, calling for the coach and GM to be fired.
  4. That ends his career at a NY Giant
  5. We just need an entire paradigm shift ASAP. This is not everything we need to do, but keys for me are moving on from Barkley, Engram, Shepherd, and we STILL have to build an OL next to Andrew Thomas (with Gates hurt we now have at least 3 OL positions to fill next offseason, possibly 4).
  6. He's good! Seems like a steal in the mid 2nd round. The problem with DG is for every good move he has two-three bad moves negating it. How many players are keepers on this roster? Ojulari Dexter Lawrence McKinney Leonard Williams (at least two more years) Toney Andrew Thomas
  7. Got it. That's fair. Yeah, I definitely sense that among this team...versus a team coached by Sean McVeigh for instance, who seem like they have much more energy.
  8. At this point, with all the injuries, this is just trying to do something, anything, to make sure we have ILBs, or at least ILB depth alongside Ragland and Crowder.
  9. As a player, what are you supposed to say? It fucking sucks to be 1-5 and to lose. There's nothing you can say that's going to be good, other than owning up and accepting responsibility. In general for coaches/players, I think at best, if you're going to say something, the best you can do is just not say the wrong thing, like Joe Judge, Ben McAdoo and others do constantly on several occasions.
  10. Yep, plus look at our high water mark winning years 2007 - 2011: We won championships with a 4th and 7th round RBs in Jacobs and Bradshaw, and the Team opposing us (even though they lost, still a great team) had guys like Lawrence Maroney, Sammy Morris, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Steven Ridley, Woodhead, etc. Yes, Maroney was a 1st rounder, but he was an otherwise just average RB, which is the point I'm trying to make; you can win with just average RBs....or at least layer in a good RB after you've built a team.
  11. I get the original logic of it. The problem it's been a disaster since then, and Barkley is unfortunately injury prone to make matters worse. Somehow we have a better record without Barkley than with him. That 2018 draft class in general is looking like total busts, except for BJ Hill who we traded away. Will Hernandez is an OKAY guard so far into the season, but not a consistent/reliable starter.
  12. Ehh...I don't know. I've had these before. They tend to linger and impede your ability to make cuts/change of direction, and unlike knee injuries they tend to get worse the more you run on it.
  13. I would advise the Giants, and any franchise for that matter, don't draft a RB high and don't pay a free agent RB big money IF you do not already have a capable team in place. You can easily build a good team without having a top flight RB. Look at the Rams (3rd rounder in Henderson), Cardinals (4th rounder in Edmonds and Conner), Bills (two 3rd rounders in Moss and Singletary), Ravens, (who are excelling with a bunch of backups at this point), Packers (5th rounder in Jones), Chargers (undrafted Ekeler). Everyone wants a Derrick Henry, Zeke, or Nick Chubb, and yes they make life a lot easier on offense, but I'm just saying you don't build your offense around these guys. If you have the rest of the pieces in place, I have no problem going out and grabbing a RB in rounds 1-2 but again you need to build a capable team first.
  14. He stinks but his dead cap is such that we'd save nothing by cutting him in 2022. Same to a large degree with Golladay and Williams. Thanks DG.
  15. Whoever they play for...this crap spans 2-3 coaches now.
  16. Next year Barkley, Shep, and Engram will all be healthy, right?
  17. Friendly reminder that BJ Hill has 3 sacks in 5 games, and our run defense has also been atrocious.
  18. Maybe don't build an offense around injury prone players (Barkley, Jones, Shepherd, Golladay, etc)?
  19. Yeah the giants defense has been a real bright spot this year, especially after they gave up 44 to Dallas, the most that team ever scored (and would have been 50+ if not for two lucky turnovers)
  20. When during the game was the defense fighting, after the injury prone guys on offense (Barkley, Jones, Golladay, Shepard) all got injured? Maybe don't build an offense around injury prone guys?
  21. From what I see on Spotrac, Bradberry has a $20.5M cap hit against a $7M dead cap, so if they giants cut him they save $13.5M. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-giants/james-bradberry-19011/
