  1. Why is Joe Judge the answer at coach? Who, beyond maybe 6-7 players on this roster, are keepers????
  2. Honestly if we'd found a way to keep Zeitler (did we really need Rudolph, Jon Harrison, John Ross?), had drafted Rashawn Slater. Those two moves alone would produce an immensely better OL than we currently have, even with the Gates injury.
  3. No problem. It was insightful and makes sense. I'd thought I'd read somewhere else something about the giants not signing George Fant because they thought he was an asshole, so it all makes sense.
  4. I think when you've reached a point where you need to restructure the punter and backup tight end's contracts, that's a pretty strong indication that you've fucked up as a GM.
  5. Crap... down several paragraphs and it's behind a paywall. Can you post the text?
  6. So basically we won't see good giants football for at least another 5 years (until after the new GM Abrams is eventually fired)
  7. Bahhahahha Not to mention Rashawn Slater is having a great rookie year. If we had those two alone, we'd be tremendously better.
  8. There's literally no-one left defending Dave Gettleman. The guy's a joke.
  9. FYI....BJ Hill now has as many sacks as Leonard Williams, and for ~$25M less.
  10. Interesting watch. I don't agree with everything, but on the whole I think he's on the right track.
  11. He plays and seems a lot like Micah Parsons. Gamechanger on the defensive side of the ball.
  12. Go OL Evan Neal or Kenyon Green, and LB Devin Lloyd
  13. Joe Judge sold the Mara's on a vision and using smooth talking, buzzwords etc, but he clearly actually doesn't know how to coach (e.g. prepare a team, put them in a position to win, get coordinators in line, make in-game decisions). I think it's a classic case of style over substance. He said the right things. That's it. In action and in practice, he's mediocre and bewildered. Granted, he's not Adam Gase, Rich Kotite, Bill Arnsburg of level of just complete and utter disaster, but he's a bad coach.
  14. While I hate the idea of firing yet another coach after 2 years, I think I've seen enough to know Judge is a bad coach. He's not the guy who's going to lead us to the playoffs, let alone a winning season. What's his redeeming value anyway? He says the right things to the Maras? Well now he's saying some of the dopiest things to the press and fans, and who gives a shit if he talks the talk to ownership?
  15. Interestingly the chargers, who the Giants play this weekend, are a great example of a franchise rebuild in stark contrast to the Giants. - Unlike the Giants, the chargers actually invested in their offensive line this off-season to support their young QB, bringing in Feiler, Linsley, plus drafting Rashawn Slater, the guy I wanted the Giants to draft. Their OL went from bottom of the league last year to top 10 this year. - Their young QB in year 2 is way ahead of Daniel Jones in year 3, and it appears they have a franchise QB. - Their lead running back is an undrafted free agent who has more rushing and receiving yards than Saquon Barkley over the last three years. - They're 7-5 and are in the playoff hunt and division title hunt, while the Giants are 4-8, and already looking to the off-season.
  16. Yep. If you look at this roster, there's what, maybe 4-5 keepers at most? Toney Andrew Thomas Dexter Lawrence Ojulari Xavier McKinney Trade Saquon too of you can; that'll free up $7-8M in cap next year. I love how we're paying Leonard Williams $25M, and he has 5 sacks. Gettleman trades away Markus Golden, and now he's on Arizona making $2M, and he has 10 sacks. I also love how Gettleman let Zeitler, our best lineman go, and he's having a great year for Baltimore, and our current starting guard is practice squad material, Will Hernandez, plus Nate Solder is starting at RT because 3rd rd draft pick Matt Peart really is somehow worse. Now if you look back at the 2018-2019 drafts, the 2018 draft class is looking entirely like busts.... except for BJ Hill who's an okay rotation defender, but no longer on this roster. The 2019 draft minus Dexter Lawrence is a bust.
  17. Good take. I second this.
  18. It's also a lot of the same criticisms Josh Allen had, while Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen from the big time schools with big time stats are now busts, so you never know.
  19. I'm not too high on Willis. In the only game he's played against top competition, against Ole Miss, he threw 0 TDs and 3 INTS in 26 pass attempts. In other games, against even lower quality competition, he's had some real duffers (e.g. Army, Lousiana)...playing bad down the stretch particularly. He's had like 4-5 gams where he's jacked up his stats and the highlight real (14 TDs 0 INTS against four opponents), but the other games he's been bad (10 TDs 12INTS against the other 8 opponents. He's also played poorly down the stretch here, losing his last three games and going 3TD to 6INTs., after starting 7-2. I'm also not to keen on drafting anyone associated with Jerry Fallwell. I could be wrong...I'm not a talent evaluator and maybe things are different once you put him with NFL coaches in an NFL system, and Josh Allen similarly had some uneven stats like the above, but I think he's a boom or bust guy.
  20. I really liked him. Sad to see him become a criminal. Boy his post NFL life really spiraled out of control.
  21. Yep. And now, may people are associating this with him. Ottis Anderson is all over social media pleading with people that he is NOT the father.
  22. Okay according to his Twitter fees, Ottis is definitely NOT the father. Mods can you please delete this entire thread?
