  1. Great. This 2022 season is a transition year. 7-10 at best.
  2. I didn't really analyze their performance.
  3. Did he really get outplayed by Tae Crowder and Micah McFadden?
  4. Christ, at that point you might as well just keep him. The Front 7 of the Giants D, if healthy, was actually one of the relative strengths of this team. With Martinez gone, now I'm not so sure. It should still be a decent front 7, but I believe it's not as good without him.
  5. Hopefully by year 6 of this rebuild, we'll be in good shape, lol.
  6. Our secondary is razor thin, and that LG and Center spot are going to be a problem all season.
  7. Whew. Could be worse. Don't even rush him back. Let him heal up.
  8. Feliciano has also been in and out of the lineup with injuries, dehydration, and has been disappointing so far. It's going to be another long year for the offense. As I've said since this offseason when the Giants decided to maintain DJ and Barkley: 2022 is essentially a throwaway, transitory year where Scoen and everyone learns the hard way that DJ and Barkley don't have a future here. Essentially the theme of this season is 1) Roster turnover, and 2) We don't have a franchise QB on this roster.
  9. 4.63 according to this. 34.5 inch vertical jump. So pretty decent speed for a TE. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/daniel-bellinger/32004245-4c68-0916-b0c0-d672685a6961
  10. Jimmy G isn't the future QB here. He would only be another stopgap/placeholder until we can find a franchise QB...on a team that already has two stopgaps, Taylor and Jones. Look to the 2023 Draft for the potential future franchise QB, and/or to a lesser degree if a potential trade opens up for then (but I doubt it; the draft is likely where we'll be looking). Plus another option, and I don't think this will happen...is Jones blows us all away this year and has his breakout year, and we re-sign him as the franchise QB; a longshot in my view, but possible.
  11. Yeah he's another one too. Also, I went back to some early mocks last year. It was Spencer Rattler and Sam Howell, who weren't locks necessarily, but were frequently appearing on the top #5 picks, and Rattler particularly as #1. Rattler completely fell off the map, and Howell fell to the 5th. Also, Kenny Pickett was nowhere to be found in early rounds of the draft. He wasn't even considered NFL caliber at all, as he had a very pedestrian college career up until 2021. I'm not making predictions about any of these players for the NFL; just illustrating that the draftable QBs will likely change between now and early 2023 when the college season ends and draft process begins.
  12. Yeah any of these alleged "locks" like Bryce Young and CJ Stroud can easily fall off the map like Howell, with an injury and/or with a few bad games.
  13. All the hype is around CJ Stroud and Bryce Young, but keep an eye on this kid Will Levis from Kentucky. The dude can sling it all around the field accurately, and has okay scrambling ability as well.
  14. Plus once again going into a hostile away playoff game at Green Bay, and at San Francisco for the NFC Championship, and beating both Aaron Rodgers and SF 49er defense that was putting him on his back all day. Not to mention the come from behind win (again) in the SB, after the defense gave up the lead.
  15. I think he was just trying to be a goof, but just said something really stupid in the process.
  16. Yeah you just don't say that to a black player, even if he did some interview back in 2019. Not cool, Josh.
  17. You forgot the 'Obvious Backup T, who we overdrafted in the 3rd round' (Peart) But ROTFLMAO
  18. Is he awful? I thought Garcia was a pro bowl alternate last year.
  19. The competition for that LG spot will be interesting. We got Shane, Max Garcia, Ben Bredeson, plus the two rookies from Carolina, including Ezeudu a 3rd rounder, all competing for that spot. Plus a few other scrubs, but I think the main competition is Shane, Garcia, and Ezeudu.
  20. Yeah, or it shows Schoen and Co aren't willing to give him the type of extension I'd be willing to give, so it's probably me who's out of touch.
  21. Right, but what I'm saying is in scenario 2, he's losing out on a contract extension, which should exceed the $12M.
  22. It's interesting we can't sign him to some sort of extension, like a 3 year $36M deal, with a $11M or so cap hit (approximately the same dead money cap hit we take if we cut him). I mean, he's 29. Where else is he going if cut and for how much? Let's say he still gets the $11M if cut. Who's willing to pay him an additional $25M???? The team that signs him will be signing him on a 1 year $4.5M contract, or some bullshit peanuts contract like that.
  23. I would have preferred some other guys too, but I'm not getting too upset about any of this because the only guy who was a real head scratcher in my view is CB Cordale Flott at #81 overall in the 3rd round. His ADP leading up to the draft was like #200. I didn't even think we really needed a WR, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense given Slayton sucks, Shepherd is a walking IR ready to happen, and we don't know if Toney will be reliable. Anything after round 4 is really nothing to get upset about in general too. They're all longshots at that point, or backups at most generally. Everyone wants a Tom Brady or Ahmad Bradshaw/David Diehl even but the fact is the vast vast majority of these players will be backups and/or won't even make a roster in the next few years. If 1 out of the 5 picks in rounds 5-7 make it as a starter on this team, that's just icing on the cake.
  24. Yeah it was an interesting game. Also, another thing I noticed is this Kentucky QB Will Levis; this guy can sling it all over the field. I looked him up subsequently and found that he's considered a potential 1st rounder in the 2023 NFL draft. Kentucky also runs a decent amount of pro sets, which makes him even more intriguing. Possible Giant in the future, maybe? I think he looks better than Bryce Young or CJ Stroud, if you ask me.
