  1. He's never sign that. Maybe a 2 year $30M "prove it" type deal.
  2. I want to give Wink a lot of credit for this defensive play with: - A banged up secondary that was already thin to begin with, with guys off the practice squad and two rookies - Still no Kayvon or Ojulari, and Williams going down but still held the D together.
  3. 2nd half he was much better. That's what a traditional NFL RB looks like.
  4. 5 years $180M? Seems right considering the going rates for franchise QBs.
  5. It might be fair to say he's not motivated (which is why he's not dedicating himself to learn the playbook), but to say he doesn't want to win to me is something different.
  6. Yeah I don't think it's about a lack of desire to win or "mind on other things...." He just hasn't shown a grasp of the playbook, according to Daboll. There's no indications from Daboll it's about a lack of desire to win.
  7. Yeah the great thing about Thomas and Neal is they seem like smart, savvy players, not just physically talented.
  8. Yeah maybe by week 3 he'll be the full time starter. I think Bredeson's days are numbered. Career backup at best.
  9. Is it different this time, due to Bredeson in general sucking? Like maybe they're trying to work in the Rookie at LG a little more? But yeah, I wish they would just commit to Ezeudu; pick one guy and go with him.
  10. I do not miss Will Hernandez's patented once/twice a week "Spin around in a circle and touch no-one" pass blocking. I'm not an expert in pass blocking but from what I gather your body, at least your hands, need to make CONTACT with the defender for you to block them, hahaha. I wonder how he's doing in AZ. In general, they did not look good on Sunday.
  11. He needs to pull it together this year, or else he's on the hot seat I think. He has to show something this year to prove he's a viable WR1-3. Especially considering when we look to 2023, Shepherd and Slayton are Free Agents and likely not coming back (maybe Shep comes back cheap?), and Golladay's future I think is in question as well (potential cut). The WR position on this team could be wide open, no pun intended, in the 2023 offseason.
  12. I think maybe Bobby Hoying was in his mid 20s. Wentz was 23 when drafted, but turned 24 later that year (December)...yes I'm a nerd who looked this up, lol.
  13. That's fair. If it's something off the field as the coach says, then that seems to be the plausible reason. My only issue is the notion that Toney doesn't have anything to add (at least potentially), or arguing 'if the gameplan worked without a player...' (I still don't know what this means; does that imply the offense can do no better?).
  14. Nah, he whiffed on it actually. Didn't block anyone on the play.
  15. PFF had him ranked the #3 OL in week 1. Pretty darn good. The rest of the OL ranked poorly, but hopefully they improve with time. Neal I expect up and downs in his rookie year, so nothing unexpected there.
  16. I'm good with what the coach said. I simply take issue with the notion that Toney doesn't have anything to add (at least potentially), or arguing 'if the gameplan worked without a player...' (I still don't know what this means; does that imply the offense can do no better?).
  17. It's my understanding from this thread that the passing game worked swimmingly last week thanks to Sterling Shepard. Shepard's 65 yard pass play proves the passing game is fine and we can do no better in the passing game with Toney.
  18. There were approximately 31 plays not run through Barkley, so was that some sort of mistake? Guess he also can't help as a decoy either or something...like to get defense's attention. No-one ever does that with fast receivers, right?
  19. The defense essentially held them to only 7 points in the 2nd half, and played on a short field on multiple occasions due to offensive turnovers and bad ST play, and still only gave up 20 overall. Seems pretty good. Outside the one play to Shep, the passing game was good? Shep had fewer than 39 catches last year, so he must not be good or something and that 65 yard play must have been all on the defender busting the coverage...
  20. We won without them so, by that standard they're not needed. Plus the OL and secondary is fine too...🤷‍♂️
  21. Guess we should keep Thibs and Ojulari out because the defensive game plan worked on Sunday?
  22. We nearly lost. What touches did he have? Two?
  23. We haven't won 17 games. We won one, largely thanks to Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepherd.
