  1. I never knew there was such disdain for CC Brown
  2. Mines: Nate Solder (I get it he had personal family issues, but still), Kenny Golladay, Dave Brown, Trey Junkin. Honorable mentions: Ron Dayne, Derek Brown, Will Hernandez.
  3. Also, to Matt Peart's credit. He played limited snaps but he looked OKAY when he was there.
  4. Also evidently Thomas didn't practice yesterday because he's sick with some illness. Oyyyyy vey. Is there an over/under on Cowboy sacks on Fanduel Sportbook? Take the over, lol....
  5. The only part he forgot was accusing you of living in your mom's basement.
  6. Also, I had high hopes about Carter Coughlin developing into a starter, but it seems that's not happening. I can't imagine he's worse than McFadden, is he? At least Coughlin could run (4.57 40 and 36 inch verticle), lol...McFadden looks duck footed.
  7. Yeah I think we're really missing a good ILB and WLB. The SLBs I'm okay with. I'd be happy if we kept Ward around.
  8. Giants Stadium is becoming the graveyard of Knees.
  9. by round I would go 1) WR 2) LB 3) G/C 3 (pick from KC) TE 4) CB 5) LB 6) DT 7) WR Did any of you see how awful our lbs were yesterday? McFadden looks hopeless, and Tae Crowder and Jaylon Smith are backups at best, or at least you can get away with one of them if you have two good LBs alongside him, which we do not have.
  10. The jury is still out. Osi and Tuck didn't really get going until year 3 as well. Strahan too if you want to go back further. JPP was pretty good in year 1 though. But yeah, Kayvon hasn't done much so far. He's clearly a liability against the rush and still learning awareness there. The fact that he's developing slower than Ojulari is interesting too.
  11. That's fair. To me, I'm reluctant about a long term deal because he's going into year 6, age 26 of being an RB, and I'm not big on signing RB's to big contracts over $12-13M per year, especially while there are needs elsewhere. Unless we can get him on like a 3 year deal, $45M...that's probably the max I'd be willing to do.
  12. Franchising him makes the most sense. $12M on a 1 year deal for 2023 would be a bargain for Barkley. He's making $7.2M now. Let him prove he can do two years without serious injury. And even then, I wouldn't be sold on signing him to a big contract in 2024.
  13. https://366sportsnetwork.com/2022/11/15/the-green-bay-packers-release-rodgers/ WR Amare Rodgers that is....
  14. Who would we extend during the BYE? The Jury is still out on DJ and Barkley (can't re-sign Barkley to anything big at this point, without any confirmation that he can play more than 15 games). I'd be aligned with extending Lawrence and Love. I like Adoree Jackson too, so if we want to re-sign him I'm good there. Fabian Moreau if we can get him cheap.
  15. He definitely has more potential than the other 4, and I agree don't count him out yet.
  16. Whenever I watched Lawrence at Clemson, I saw what might be a decent QB, but I never understood where all the hype around him being the next "generational QB" came from. I never saw that, despite "analysts" all swearing he was the next big thing.
  17. Just a note related to the stupid Bears. The 2021 draft class for QBs could be shaping up to be one of the worst in NFL history. Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Mac Jones, Justin Fields. Maybe one or two of them turns it on the rest of the season and in upcoming years, but this could easily go in the direction of worst QB class in recent history.
  18. Chicago has a history of bad trades (e.g. Rick Mirer). What a pathetic franchise. For the Giants, I'm also glad they stayed put and kept their draft capital. While it's nice being 6-2, I don't see them going on a run this year. Jeudy would have been nice for maybe a 3rd and 5th, considering you could control keeping him for 2 years (4th year then 5th year option), but I'm not willing to go higher than that.
  19. Give Jones that 2011 team with Cruz, Nicks, Manningham, Bradshaw, Jacobs, etc and even with that OL, Jones does far better than now.
  20. That's fair, but again, he had solid talent around him that year. Guys like Nicks and Cruz were studs before their injury issues, for instance. The D was also clutch down the stretch too.
  21. At the very least, DJ has been put in one of the worst situations I've ever seen a drafted QB be placed in (minus maybe Tim Couch in 1999). - 3 different coaches - The worst and most inconsistent OLs in giants history the last 4-5 years (really going back further, but these OLs were abysmal) - Talent around him not there and/or frequently injured (e.g. Barkley, Shepherd, Toney, Golladay) - Engram, the guy who doesn't know if he's playing football or volleyball, drove at least 2 or 3 of his interceptions. Plus his own injuries as well.
  22. Yeah that's essentially what I'm saying. They really came through down the stretch.
  23. Go back and watch like the last 6 games (minus the SF game) where they went on a tear, and where the running game was also generally good. Plus in general, we had the 9th ranked offense that season by points. They played well down the stretch. It wasn't just Eli. Go check out the highlights of key plays in those games and he has loads of time to throw in most instances, plus again the ground game.
  24. Was the 2011-2012 season/SB all carried Eli though? - Victor Cruz, and the running game plus defense to an extent, carried us to that win against the Jets, to make us 8-7. Eli had an otherwise bad game. - The defense in general, which had played poorly until like week 15, really stepped up toward the end of the season and playoffs. - The running game too, which again played poorly all season, but really stepped it up toward the last weeks of the season and playoffs. - For all the talk about Eli working with whoever was around him, he still got great plays/contributions from Cruz, Nicks (e.g. the Packer game, one his long catch and run, and two him catching that Hail Mary), and then Manningham in the SB - According to what metrics did we have the a bad OL? Eli was sacked only 28 times, and if you go back and watch film from that team, that OL seems to give the QB way more time than the garbage we've had the last decade since. Maybe mid season they were bad when we lost 4 straight, but that's another group that came through in the clutch (minus the SF game)
