  1. Yep. Do something like 3 years, $22M. Cap hit by year 2023: $4M 2024: $8M 2025: $10M
  2. Yeah definitely. Shop yourself around. See if you can get a higher bid.
  3. I can't see Love finding more than $7-8M per year. I'd bring him back for only that much. 3 years $22M.
  4. Waller's contract is twice as much, plus cost a 3rd round draft pick. I'd still take a flyer on DJ Chark. I get the risk. That's why I'm looking at a meager contract, short term deal (and no draft picks). I've also suggested a few other WR's for a similar price (e.g. Nelson Agholor), given our cap position and the slim pickings out there.
  5. 2 years $11M, or 1 year $5M seems appropriate.
  6. Eff that. Bye Felicia. Good luck with all that, Denver, lol.
  7. Jeudy's remaining contract is this year, ~$4.8M, plus they appear to have tendered the 5th year option for him, currently at around $13M. So getting him would be like a 2 year $18M contract, plus whatever draft pick(s). I can see that working. I just wouldn't do a 2nd rounder. 3rd round at most, or possibly 3rd plus a 5th or 6th.
  8. It's a decent idea. I wouldn't give more than a 3rd for him... Or possibly I could be talked into swapping our 2nd with Denver's 3rd rounder, with Jeudy.
  9. It'll depend on Schoen's goals. I can see him not restructuring. If he likes having no dead cap, he'll keep the contract as is. If instead he wants to use Waller to reduce the cap this year, then he'll try to restructure. To me the bigger opportunity to restructure (or even consider cutting him) is Leonard Williams, with his $32M contract.
  10. Sounds good. Fairly low contract.
  11. At this point, in addition to Ward and James on cheap vet minimum deals, I'd: - Look to restructure possibilities to enable an additional $5-10M in cap space - Julian Love, 3 years $22M - Sign a guy like Graham Glasgow for the IOL on a cheap 3 year $16M deal - Sign Nelson Agholor or DJ Chark for 2 years $11M Draft WR, CB, IOL
  12. - It's essentially a 3 year $35.5M contract for Waller, but with NO dead cap (can cut him at any time for no cap hit), PLUS the 100th pick. - Obvious instant upgrade at the TE position, and in general for the passing game. Just hope he can stay healthy. - I don't love it, but I can't complain. It's fine. Schoen could look like a genius, OR if it doesn't work out, no harm in cutting him. - Our cap space is now down to about $9M; room for maybe one other significant FA move. If we want others in addition to one more substantial FA move, my guess is we'll likely have to restructure contracts of him, Leonard Williams, and/or Adoree Jackson (and/or extend Dexter Lawrence). Leonard Williams seems the most obvious. He's a solid player, but he's not fucking worth $32M. - Top remaining priorities in my view are WR, IOL, CB, S, plus probably one more LB. For cheapo signings, wouldn't mind if we brought back Richie James and Jihan Ward on 1 year vet minimum deals that basically have little to no cap implications.
  13. Isn't Richie James still a free agent?
  14. Right, plus what I do like about the deal is, if it doesn't work out, we can get out of the contract with no impact on the cap.
  15. They're also age ~25-26 as well vs over 30.
  16. Waller is on the wrong side of 30, coming off two injury prone seasons. He's not a 22-23 year old with time on his side.
  17. But if you go back to 2020-2021, we would have been insane to have signed DJ to such a big contract, or to extend one to Saquon.
  18. Darren Waller has started less games the last two years than those two, and less than half the games last year alone. Last two years, starts - Waller: 17 - Barkley: 30 - DJ: 27
  19. Some guys are injury prone. Others aren't. He's been injury prone the last two years.
  20. The big question mark is how many games does he end up actually playing. Health is my big hold up.
  21. That's another reason I don't like this too; He's on the wrong side of 30 now.
  22. Yeah I'm sort of NOT in love with this trade. I don't like giving up the 100th pick, plus would have preferred cap assets of $11M or so be invested in the IOL and/or WR position. Edit: I'm NOT in love with this trade
  23. Not sure about an extension, but definitely try to rework the contract to have him take a pay cut.
  24. The key though is they can cut him at any time, with NO Dead Cap. It's essentially a risk free contract.
  25. The only thing he forgot to tell them to add is a sensory deprivation tank and dark room.
