  1. After Eric Gray in the 5th (a pick I like), he drafted from the garbage heap in rounds 6-7.
  2. Seems all three players will be contributing if not starting year one. Banks and Schmitz seem like plug and play starters day one, and Hyatt I have to imagine will be in at least 3 WR sets day one.
  3. Anthony Richardson. He has bust written all over him.
  4. So guys, I actually had a dream last night about the draft, and if it's any indication, we're taking CB Kelee Ringo in the 1st and WR Jonathan Mingo in the 2nd. Such a nerd.... dreaming NFL draft Lol.
  5. True, LSU isn't as deep as GA and AL this year, for sure. SEC is definitely a freakin NFL factory.
  6. As P pointed out elsewhere, that's usually because predicting outside of the top 10-15 is difficult. At best, you're just looking at positional fit or priorities. Compare that to, say Arizona in the top 5. Unless they trade out, they're likely to pick just one out of two or three guys only. For instance, nearly every mock has us taking WR, CB, or IOL. I may have seen one or two with us taking EDGE too.
  7. The CB position makes sense in terms of being a high priority for the gmen. I think it's obvious. I don't know anything about Forbes though. And again I just don't see Shoen going high on OL, even though I personally want this. I think Shoen feels Ezeudu is his guy at LG, and is fine with Hassenhaur and Glowinski for now, please Neal. Maybe he'll do a 3rd or 4th rounder on IOL but that's the highest I'd expect.
  8. It's not all guaranteed. Only $141M of it is. Watch, by 2028, he'll be asking for a new deal, even though he'd have 4 years left on his deal.
  9. Once Herbert and Burrow sign long term deals at $60M per year, Jones' deal will look like a bargain in comparison. Also Mahomes is kicking himself for $45M per year at 10 years. Should have done that deal over 5 years, so he could resign at like $70M in 2025 or something.
  10. Barkley will be going into his 7th season next off-season in 2024. I can't see a competent GM paying him a big time contract. $14M max MAYBE.
  11. I was thinking this as well. Also Tillman may not be around that late in round 2, but who knows.
  12. You could draft anything defense in the 1st round and I'd be fine. Even EDGE or DT/DL. Besides Kayvon and Ojulari, there's not much, and you can never have too many pass rushers. Would be cool if we put BJ Ojulari on this same team. DT/DL might make sense too, with Williams a FA next year, and Dexter not yet signing an extension. Personally I'd prefer OL, but I don't think Shoen goes this route.
  13. That's Woody. Snyder was just a grade A dipshit.
  14. Modern championship teams don't need a top tier RB. A top tier RB is a "nice to have" but not necessary. If you're using a 1st rounder or paying an RB in excess of $12M on a multi year contract without all your other bases covered (eg OL) you're doing it wrong like 99% of the time. Give me a guy like Tank Bigsby or Kendre Miller in the 3rd or 4th who can grind out 4 yards per carry, tough out gains in between the tackles, and pass protect, along with a 3rd down back as well (Eg Keaton Mitchell in the 6th), and we'll be fine.
  15. So ends the nearly 25 year run of Snyder in Washington, where the team was craptacular the entire time
  16. Yeah that too. I'd love to see a mid round RB selection this draft as insurance. Not that there wouldn't be a drop off without Barkley, but the guy averaged 4.4 YPC last year...that's good, but nothing special.
  17. Barkley better pray he doesn't get injured this year, or else nobody comes close to giving him $12M per year in 2024. Having said that, can't the Giants just tag him again in 2024, then the contract value goes up 20% (if I'm not mistaken), so only about $12M. Seems fair for the Giants; it's like a 2 year $22M contract, $10M in 2023, $12M in 2024.
  18. KC's in a good spot. They'll probably draft a WR in rounds 1-2, and have Valdez-Scantling, Toney, Sky Moore (2nd rounder last year) James, plus their draft pick. Plus Kelce obviously, who's shown no signs of slowing down. Might as well pencil them in as the SB favorite this year.
  19. I agree. I'm with you on the need to prioritize OL. I'm just trying to guess Schoen's mentality here, and if I had to guess, I bet he's not as high on OL as some of us on this board, and other NYG fans in general. In his mindset, he's drafted what he thinks is a capable LG prospect (Ezeudu), he drafted another one last year (McKethan), plus Evan Neal for RT of course. Then he also brought in Glowinski. That's four guys last offseason alone, let alone adding a few in between. I think he's looking at the OL after bringing in Hassenhaur + last year's draft and probably thinks he already has 8-9 capable OL lineman on the roster already, or at least as prospects with potential: Thomas, Ezeudu, Bredeson, Hassenhaur, Glowinski, Neal, Wyatt Davis, Marcus McKethan, Tyre Phillips, Matt Peart. Personally, I think this is faulty reasoning. Perhaps, Ezeudu can develop in time, but I wouldn't go into the season relying on him, Bredeson, or Hassenhaur as starters. It would be one thing if Neal and Glowinski could be relied on to be solid starting lineman, but Glowinski is only average, and Neal is not there yet. To go into the season with two additional question marks on the OL at the LG and C position to me is a mistake.
  20. If I had to guess at Schoen's mindset, he's probably content to go into the season with Ezeudo at LG, and have Bredeson and Hassehauer compete for C, plus probably thinks he has capable depth with Peart, Davis, and Tyre Phillips. Plus Markus McKethan as well. Who knows about Shane Lemiuex too. I bet he doesn't address OL until round 4 or later, and only for depth.
