  1. Yeah for every good move Gentleman made, he made like three bad moves.
  2. Getty also partially sold or bought into the notion of "We can make one last run with Eli." That never materialized. Then, he had to turn over the roster and do a rebuild....but insisted on doing a rebuild with an OL with holes all over it, minus Andrew Thomas.
  3. McKinney and Ojulari from the 2nd round are pretty good. Julian Love was decent.
  4. He had some good draft picks. He just couldn't put together an entire roster, and made two of the worst FA signings in team history.
  5. Finally. We stopped the trend of quality Giants DT draft picks going over to the Vikings.
  6. It's a low risk signing. One year minimum. He's going to have to compete to make it on the roster, and if he doesn't no real impact to the cap if we release him. I think the staff likes Tomon Fox for that 4th EDGE spot, but we'll see. I was really hoping we'd bring in another EDGE in the draft, at least in the late rounds.
  7. Not a bad depth signing. Make him compete with Tomon Fox and that Habbadabba Du guy from Pitt for the 4th EDGE spot behind Thibs, Ojulari, and Ward. Knows the system, coaches etc.
  8. Give the man 5 years $115M or 6 years $140M (i.e. Trent William's contract) whatever and be done with it. $140M spread out over 6 years might end up seeming like a barging by year 3-4 of that contract.
  9. Sucks that the Jet game is a home game and not an away game, lol
  10. Habakkuk Baldonado seems like a decent pickup for EDGE depth, to supplement Thibs, Ojulari, and Ward. The staff seems to like Tomon Fox for that 4th spot, and Schoen just said something nice about him after the draft, but good to have this guy compete for a spot. Elerson Smith seems to be on the outside looking in.
  11. I noticed the Patriots drafted a DB named Ameer Speed in the 6th. So with a name like that, that basically guarantees you make an NFL roster, right? Also, Orji is still available. Priority free agent!
  12. Also it's not a big deal since picks in rounds 6-7 are just lucky if they make a roster for more than 2 years.
  13. After Eric Gray in the 5th (a pick I like), he drafted from the garbage heap in rounds 6-7.
  14. Seems all three players will be contributing if not starting year one. Banks and Schmitz seem like plug and play starters day one, and Hyatt I have to imagine will be in at least 3 WR sets day one.
  15. Anthony Richardson. He has bust written all over him.
  16. So guys, I actually had a dream last night about the draft, and if it's any indication, we're taking CB Kelee Ringo in the 1st and WR Jonathan Mingo in the 2nd. Such a nerd.... dreaming NFL draft Lol.
  17. True, LSU isn't as deep as GA and AL this year, for sure. SEC is definitely a freakin NFL factory.
  18. As P pointed out elsewhere, that's usually because predicting outside of the top 10-15 is difficult. At best, you're just looking at positional fit or priorities. Compare that to, say Arizona in the top 5. Unless they trade out, they're likely to pick just one out of two or three guys only. For instance, nearly every mock has us taking WR, CB, or IOL. I may have seen one or two with us taking EDGE too.
  19. The CB position makes sense in terms of being a high priority for the gmen. I think it's obvious. I don't know anything about Forbes though. And again I just don't see Shoen going high on OL, even though I personally want this. I think Shoen feels Ezeudu is his guy at LG, and is fine with Hassenhaur and Glowinski for now, please Neal. Maybe he'll do a 3rd or 4th rounder on IOL but that's the highest I'd expect.
  20. It's not all guaranteed. Only $141M of it is. Watch, by 2028, he'll be asking for a new deal, even though he'd have 4 years left on his deal.
  21. Once Herbert and Burrow sign long term deals at $60M per year, Jones' deal will look like a bargain in comparison. Also Mahomes is kicking himself for $45M per year at 10 years. Should have done that deal over 5 years, so he could resign at like $70M in 2025 or something.
  22. Barkley will be going into his 7th season next off-season in 2024. I can't see a competent GM paying him a big time contract. $14M max MAYBE.
