  1. Yes, spot on. I'm not trying to say Schoen hasn't tried. Just that it hasn't worked out thus far. I really hope Neal and one of these 2022 drafted guards puts it together, plus Schmitz.
  2. If Neal and Ezeudu don't show that they're solid starters this year, then you have to go into the 2024 offseason as if they're not capable of starting in 2024. Same for McKethan. Gettleman drafted OL and brought in several free agents as well.
  3. Ezeudu is an early 3rd rounder, so that should be a factor. I'm also not giving up on anyone yet, but I am planning on the possibility of them not being good. A lack of this type of planning is why we get the OL's that we do.
  4. Neal and Ezeudu are on the verge of busting, and Glowinski was always a low end starter at best (hence, he only signed for $6M per year) who's clearly regressed. But even then, relying on a rookie RT, and having gaps at LG and C was still a patchwork OL last year. Nevertheless, this hasn't worked out. Gotta try to move on.
  5. Just stop fucking around, and this offseason, sign a quality guard (Connor Williams) and RT (Trenton Brown) to the team, and let Neal compete at RT or bump inside to G. And then draft another OL in rounds 2-4 as well for more depth. Stop pussyfooting around with this patchwork OL bullshit. Bredeson, Glowinski, Ezeudu aren't starting capable lineman, and Neal is looking like a bust. Maybe MAYBE you can get away with 1 of these guys starting on the OL but only if the other 4 are all good.
  6. Oh yes, definitely when the Giants are on, it's only the Giants, but if I go to a Giants game at say 1pm est, I'm not able to catch the other games at 4pm est...because then I'm spending 2 hours trying to get home from that stadium lol
  7. Also, I can't put my finger on why, but baseball games in person are just more relaxing than NFL football games in person. NFL football to me is stressful to watch in person. It could just be the slower pace of baseball that does that. It also helps to watch at home, with things like NFL redzone, and all the fantasy stuff I have going on, so I can capture all the games at once.
  8. It can be both bad coaching and bad players as well. Nate Solder, Halapio, Chad Wheeler, Cam Fleming, Patrick Omameh, Matt Skura, Spencer Pulley for instance were bad players. No amount of coaching was helping those guys.
  9. Schmitz has been bad too. McKethan is essentially a rookie playing in just his 2nd game. I wouldn't write him off yet. He flashed vs AZ.
  10. Someone finally taught Will Hernandez not to spin around in a circle and touch no-one on passing plays. They taught him to get his hands/body on the defender, in order to block him. Unfortunately, Glowinski took over as our resident "spin around in a circle and touch no-one" OL blocker.
  11. I love a good curvy woman. Women who are too skinny don't do it for me.
  12. Stupid penalties and poor tackling drove us out of that 49er game. When the game was 17-12, we had a real shot to win.
  13. It's painful to watch. Sam Darnold, for all his faults, seemed to at least have some grit to him and put up okayish numbers. Sam's faults was trying to do to much and play hero ball at times, where Zach Wilson's problem is he doesn't do enough. I think he's one of these guys in college who benefited from an improvisational system where he was allowed to extend plays and kill teams when coverages broke down, but that doesn't always work in the NFL. Darnold is at least a competent backup. Wilson isn't even that.
  14. For sure. I think this off-season will be a real test of the front office. Most of the stench of Gentleman's dead money, over investments in Leopard Williams ($32M) and Adoree Jackson ($18M) will be gone, Barkley will probably be gone, and they'll really have much more ability to craft a roster they want.
  15. The Giants to me are currently like the Dolphins of the 2010's under Ryan Tannehill. It's a team and QB good enough to win 8 or 9 games, with a QB who's good enough to start but not good enough to rack up big time wins and numbers. This is what we are at least until we get an OL and pass rush.
  16. Some morons in the scheduling office thought we were going to be good this year.
  17. Reposting here: The NFL's explanation for why they didn't eject Trent Williams: “When we have a flag thrown on the field for unnecessary roughness, members of the officiating department are able to review available video, Rule 19, to determine if there is a flagrant action that should result in a disqualification,” NFL senior vice president of officiating Walt Anderson said after the game. “We ended up looking at the video we had available to us, and we just didn’t see anything that rose to the level of flagrant, which is the standard that we have to apply to disqualify the player.” A deliberate punch to the face apparently doesn’t qualify if it’s a Giants player on the receiving end. Marian-Webster definition of Flagrant: "So obviously inconsistent with what is right or proper as to appear to be a flouting of law or morality." So I guess the NFL would have us believe that punching a player in the helmet is NOT flouting their rules, and is consistent with what is right and proper.

  19. I learned Brock Purdy is the real deal. The Giants were bringing decent pressure all night and the kid still made good decisions and got the ball to the right place consistently. Micah McFadden made a big leap last night.
