  1. The pathetic Panthers put up an offensive TD against the Dolphins on their first drive... While the hapless Giants couldn't manage one the whole game lolol, and haven't managed one in ten quarters lol
  2. But we got Bellinger who's a pretty good 2nd TE! (Sarcasm)
  3. The Giants at least have assets to work with, and can get out of the DJ contract after 2024 without too bad of a cap hit. The Broncos on the other hand not only need an overhaul/rebuild but traded away some key assets, plus can't see any cap savings on Wilson until 2026. Giants cap space for 2024 is around $43M while the broncos is -$19M lol
  4. This honestly makes me feel a little better about the Giants season, and next season.
  5. The Jets defense is going to mop the floor with our O line, Daniel Jones / Tyrod Taylor.
  6. So many Giant fans really didn't appreciate just how tough and how much of a gamer Eli was. It really came full circle when he got brutally assaulted in that 2012 playoff game vs the 49ers, but was a consistent theme throughout his career.
  7. So what's the plan for if/when Tyrod gets injured Sunday by the 2nd quarter, and Devito by the 3rd quarter? Who's the emergency QB? Is Chad Powers available?
  8. Ojulari didn't practice again today. So it's fairly safe to say at this point that the 2021 draft is a bust, and might be the worst in giants history, at least of the last four decades.
  9. We're going at least 1-5, and then 1-6 either way at this point, no matter the QB. Frankly, I'd rather we don't get Jones killed and don't kill his confidence at this point, and just roll with Tyrod for now.
  10. I think Jaman Brown and Mike Remmers are free agents too. Might as well give them a shot while we're at it.
  11. "Are you a young man in your 20's? Are you over 280 lbs, and can you breath? Then the NY giants are interested in you; come on down anytime to tryout for our offensive line! We currently have these open positions: starting guard, starting guard, starting center, starting right tackle....backup guard, backup guard, backup guard, backup tackle."
  12. If Caleb Williams is there, I'd take him, and use the other 5 premium assets on OL and DL.
  13. 100%. I'd still add DT depth too (Davidson hasn't proven he can stay healthy, Robinson and Williams are gone after this season).
  14. I get it that Schoen has put assets into the OL last year, but it just hasn't worked out, and they were not good on paper coming into the season. The Giants OL is not an Andrew Thomas away from being good, or even average. They came into the season with 4 out of 5 starting spots being questionable, and wishful thinking. Bredeson and Glowinski are bums, Neal and JMS were unproven and we were relying on them to take a leap (as I always say, you can get away with one, maybe two "wishful thinking" guys on the OL IF the other guys on the OL are solid, which they weren't on this team). Sorry, but $11M for Barkely, $4M for Campbell, and $10M for Leonard Williams (appox cap savings before they altered his deal), could have been used on the OL. Minus shuffling the practice squad, Schoen didn't put anything into the OL this offseason....like at all. Also, why the fuck are Peart and Lemieux even on this roster? They're not even backup caliber lineman, lol.
  15. Say we have cap space in 2024 free agency for three good/premium free agents, plus we have three picks in the top three rounds. I honestly would be completely fine if we used all six or five of six of those assets on the OL and DL/DE positions, at this point. Why wouldn't we? Consider the 9-10 starting positions on the OL and DL: we currently only have 2 reliable starters (Thomas, Lawrence), plus I assume we're obviously going to give JMS a continued shot to develop. Maybe Thibs develops, maybe he doesn't and is only a pass rush specialist. Same with Neal, whether he moves to guard or stays at Tackle. Either way, that's basically 5-6 starting spots that need to be filled in 2024. Leonard Williams will be a FA and is overrated anyway (maybe if he signs a 1 year ~$4M deal, you bring him back), Bredeson is a FA who should be only a backup anyway, Glowinski will need to be cut for cap space who needs to retire anyway. Fill in the rest of the roster in 2024 at DB, WR, LB, RB with mid-lower end FAs and mid-late round draft picks.
  16. He's a 2nd round pick, so doesn't get a year 5 option. But yeah, he's not a guy we can rely on. Needs to be replaced.
  17. They got Dell #68th overall in the 3rd, but I'm with you in that maybe 3rd round or later is about as high as you go for these types of players, unless they put up Jaylen Waddle or Tyreke Hill type speed numbers and proven durability in college.
  18. Also Ernie Arcosi: Kareem McKenzie, Shaun O'Hara, plus nailed it on Chris Snee and Deihl. Even Petitgout was decent for awhile.
  19. Yes but somehow the Dolphins pull off fielding 5'10 smallish WRs. Zay Flowers, Josh Downs, and Marquis Brown are good too.
  20. Edit; nm I take it back they all suck.
  21. I suppose Robinson is like every other receiver on this team, which is "I like him as a #3 WR, lol"
  22. Also, can I just remind everyone that McKinney sucks and shouldn't be on the roster next year either? He's supposed to be over the top on Tyreke Hill here, but instead comes up too many steps, and gets caught looking into the backfield. This is less on Hawkins than it is on McKinney (Hawkins can't be expected to run full on with Hill).
  23. I'm not saying he can't be salvaged or cant develop, but we can't rely on him to be a starter next season at this rate. We'd have to plan on others being starters at RT and G. If he outcompetes them, then great.
