  1. I know he's an offensive guy, but Coughlin's giant teams over the years have had a propensity for not only playing injured players too frequently, but more importantly, having a bad rotation on defense. For instance, Thomas, Webster, Phillips, and Rolle are out there 100% of the time. I'm pretty sure Boley is too. Other guys, Cofield, Tuck, Osi, Grant, etc are out there like 95% of the time, only a few plays off. In fact, I don't think we've rotated the linebackers at all this year. It's basically been the same three out there before Sintim went down, and even a four linebacker rotation is too little. I know these are your defensive starters and stars, and maybe we don't have the best talent behind them, but you gotta give them a rest once in a while to keep them fresh, and so they don't wear down over the course of a season.
  2. He's still ten yards upfield, while the quarterback is stepping up in the pocket to make it a 15 yard difference between him and the ball.
  3. We're really not that far away from being a 3-4 defense. I think we do need an overhaul of our current defense. Osi and JPP can play OLB, possibly Tuck as well. Who knows with Kiwi coming back from injury. Boley and Goff can play in the middle. Defensive Line Wise, Canty played DE in a 3-4 alignment in Dallas. Cofield can move to DE in a 3-4. Linval Joseph can play NT, or rotate in Cofield and move Bernard or Tuck to a down lineman. We'd probably need to add a NT and 3-4 DE in the off season. I definitely think we have some versatility for the 3-4. We already use some 3-3 alignments, with Deon Grant in as a rover safety, and some 5-2 looks with Tuck playing on the inside as well.
  4. Not a fan of Cowher to be honest. If Ken Whisenhunt is fired from the Cardinals, he's not out of the question. Whisenhunt can really open up this offense, which is already loaded with talent, and finally get the TE's involved as well. Wouldn't mind bringing back John Fox as a DC is he's available, but not sure if the players will respond to him as a head coach.
  5. Why is the Missouri area receiving the Seattle Tampa, and not the NYG game? Seems like the premiere game of the week (Buck, Aikman) is NYG. They must be rooting for Seattle to lose I guess
  6. Mike Francesca summed it up nicely. From 7:28 on, every single play had to go exactly right for the eagles, and exactly wrong for the gmen in order for the gmen to blow it.
  7. I go usually looking for injury reports, and/or interviews/post game videos.
  8. Popups everywhere, videos automatically playing when I don't want them too, banner ads running in the middle of the screen (I don't mind them as long as they're not in my way), increasingly harder to find things, etc... There's way too much stuff on screen, especially the splash page... way too much going on.
  9. He is a douche as I pointed out. Who do we get to replace him?
  10. It's not all on Matt Dodge my fellow NYG fans, although he is a screw up.... Uncovered onside kick, Manningham fumble in NYG territory, Fewell having Justin Tuck covering Brent Celek (why the hell we still drop defensive lineman into coverage is beyond me) Vick prancing down the field about 50 yards on two occasions, Jeremy Maclin left wide open on an island to score (honestly, the entire stadium knew the ball was going to him), punt coverage team blowing it, the offense failing to move the ball and take time off the clock... The entire team lost the game, the coaches, the offense, defense, and ST.
  11. I'm not saying he's the darling of the NFL, but at least he's in the NFL rather than doing other things.
  12. Yes, he has served his time and paid his debt to society for the crimes he committed. He did not get off on anything, like some other NFL players have. I think it's great that he's not slipping back into criminal behavior, and is trying to integrate himself into society by doing what he does best.
  13. At least Manningham is good to go. I think we'll be fine with Nicks, Manningham and Hagan. Hagan has stepped up nicely. Can we get Beckum involved in the passing game please? cripes.
  14. I might pull a Boehner on you.... hiyo!
  15. Any news on Bradshaw or Canty?
  16. Sucks to be a Tampa Bay fan, they can't even watch their game!
  17. I know. And as a Met's fan, I feel the same way about Ollie P bitching and moaning about being mistreated.
  18. Tough shit Brandon, you played your way on the bench. Bradshaw just looks like he wants it more than you, and Ware is not too far behind if he can stay healthy.
  19. Based on the pre-season, unfortunately I don't think the analysis is too far off. I will not be surprised with an 8-8 team again this year. I will be surprised if they go 12-4.... 9-7, 10-6, even 11-5 are realistic expectations. I really hope the gmen were able to correct the mistakes of the pre-season, particularly the O-line, and D-Line, especially hoping that guys are getting healthier.
  20. I would have liked for us to drop Wilkinson and pickup a TE somewhere. Is Beckum even healthy?
  21. Jerome Johnson looked horrible, he's gotta be cut as well.
