  1. These guys are always good to keep updated: http://www.nj.com/giants/ http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2011/09/giants_begin_making_final_cuts.html
  2. Agreed. Flozel Adams's career would have only lasted about 2 years if this plan were in place.
  3. Now that Smith is gone, I think WR Mark Clayton will make the team. He's the same type of receiver.
  4. I don't give a fuck that my stock portfolio and 401k both lost around 15% in the last week. This is really more upsetting than either of those
  5. Hynoski, never seen him play... looking forward to it in the pre-season though.
  6. A starting one? And if not, are we looking to sign anyone?
  7. Good guy who picked up the pieces of his life in the late 90's and was a solid QB for the Giants... especially at a time when we had gone several years without a solid QB, and didn't have any immediate solution. I'd venture to say that if not for him, we wouldn't have won the NFC Championship in 2000. Does anyone believe we would have even made the championship game if we had Dave Brown (I know he was gone by then), Kent Graham or Danny Kanell at the helm?
  8. Sounds great, and looks pretty good on film too. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/draft-2011/players/69243.html
  9. No pitch count on this station anymore really? That's ten times worse than not having a radar gun. Another bonehead move. So SNY thinks we don't need the pitch count, but we do need a constant stream of NHL scores on the bottom of the screen.
  10. 19. New York Giants - OG/C Maurkice Pouncey, Florida That would be an excellent pick. Except Maurkice Pouncey was already drafted by Pittsburgh last year, haha. His brother, Mike Pouncey, would be the pick we want.
  11. Nah, haha. I wish. It's a pic a friend sent to me.
  12. Seriously. And in the day and age of smart-phones and technology, like the giants aren't going to find out the score anyway.
  13. Daniel Thomas has also fumbled zero times in his NCAA career with +600 touches.
  14. What is the deal with Tony Dungy? Will he ever return to coaching? He's only two years removed.
  15. Does that include calling players by the wrong name, like I mentioned in an earlier post? haha.
  16. Maybe not touchbacks, but Tynes can barely get the ball passed the 10 yard line, and does so with little hang time. We're ceding at least 10 yards, maybe more, to the other team. It makes a difference, as does the punter.
  17. A Kicker who can kick touchbacks. A punter who can actually kick, haha. A lot of our coverage problems as well are due to the punter. And an actual return game? Improve special teams, and I think we'd improve by at least two games. Reese generally hasn't really drafted return guys, and has fallen off on bringing in special teams guys in general.
  18. You know the other thing is, we may not be able to hire Gruden because he doesn't even know the player's names. Last time I checked John, there's nobody on this team named Rakeem Nicks, Jason Tuck, Ahman Bradshaw, or Coy Webster. And no, it's not his accent. This is what he's actually called Giant players the past two years, haha.
  19. I think we're still the number 1 rushing team in the league at this point as well. It's definitely more to do with turnovers on offense, but the O-line can still stand to improve. They are aging fast. We can't seem to run straight ahead dive plays as well.
  20. I agree. I'd take OL with the first pick in the draft this year, and bring in a FA.
  21. http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=487957 http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile_display.cfm?prospect_id=2521 http://walterfootball.com/draft2011RB.php Can get him in the 2nd round, possibly in the 3rd. Smart Kid. Was a QB in HS, and in JC. He can be taught to lower his shoulders.
  22. I'll take John Fox over both of those two. If we don't fire Coughlin this year, and we fire him next year, we can still get Ken Whisenhunt next year.
  23. Right. I'm pretty sure Spagnolo's defenses with the gmen had better rotations.
