I'm really coming around on Wilson, and am very happy with Reese's draft thus far.

In the first video in particular, he flat out beats the auburn defense on the long ball a few times.

Randle also had a marginal QB throwing to him, and not a pass happy offense, so he could be a dark horse. I like the pick.

The correlation R through pick 84 vs. grades is about 0.61 ... So the R2 is about 0.36.

They're saying he also ran average-below average shuttle, broad jumps etc at the combine - but again looks good in position drills and in games I'm hoping he's our Anquan Boldin or Amani Toomer type

He was graded pretty high 1-2nd round value.

Yeah, in workouts Randle didn't perform all that well in the combine - this could explain why he dropped. But he still looks good in position drills and during games according to what I've read.

I was thinking the same thing... Kendall Hunter looked good last year two.. I think SF's strategy is just to get as many weapons as possible for Alex Smith

I won't be upset if we don't go OL the next two rounds. Plenty of good players available.

Snee and Baas were sub-par last year. Our RT is going to be a guy going on 32. We can definitely use the depth and bring in a guy who can eventually start.

Boothe has one year left on his deal, and will turn 30 next year. If we drafted an OL, they'd have plenty of opportunities to play immediately given the frequent injuries, and significant drop off largely due to age (Snee, Baas) etc. You have to think long term with the draft as well. How many of these guys are going to be on the team in 2013? Beatty, Boothe, Lockear all have expiring contracts.
