  1. Let's not get excited about seeing patterns where there are none. But I will say, given that we have Eli at the helm, I'm more optimistic about our chances in 2015, than would have been in say 1994 (i.e. 1986 to 1990 superbowls).
  2. You couldn't script a more typical Giants start...3 and out on the first drive, followed by the opposing offense marching right down the field on us with ease for 7. + several injured giant starters.
  3. Lol, Giants.com lists 12 men on offense as "starters." 1 QB, 5 OL, 1 RB, 1, HB, 1 TE and 3 WR's
  4. Looks like we plan to carry 8 WR's on this roster???
  5. Safeties don't have to engage and use their hands like DL do though... that's the problem.
  6. I hear the Giants and the Mets share the same training staff...
  7. I certainly think he has the potential to develop into a starter in the NFL, but he's actually done squat so far as a backup or starter.
  8. Evidently has has three blocked punts on ST, so maybe this is an ST move?
  9. I don't understand how you take Thompson, projected to be undrafted, when you have guys like Derron Smith and Kurstis Drummond on the board.
  10. He had 11.5 tackles for loss, and 6.0 sacks last year. 2013, he had 6 tackles for loss and only 3.5 sacks. He also has a history of hip issues including two surgeries.
  11. DB PJ Williams could be an interesting choice. Could play FS for us.
  12. If I had my pick: SS Landon Collins LB Eric Kendricks LB Eli Harold TE Clive Walford DL Michael Bennett
  13. What a fucking dope... .all he has to do is lay low for three fucking months, and he gets a guaranteed 15 million dollars, at least.
  14. And the best way to do that is to have two safeties with zero starting experience???? And questionable depth behind your starting CBs? After all... Stevie Brown was only part of the 31st ranked defense last year
  15. So taking the approximate KR and PR averages from Dwayne Harris in Dal, 2013-2014.... we'll be taking our KR/PR from a ranking of about 22 to 18, and we've spent 17 million to do so (7 million guaranteed)
  16. I'm high on either DT Malcolm Brown or SS Landon Collins.
  17. I agree about the run D. I think this particular SS and LB will excel against the run, plus I doubt Reese will draft Shelton, just because he has Hankins, Jenkins, Bromley, Ellis and Kuhn. Reese has never been a guy that stacks a position with draft picks, but we'll see; Jenkins is mediocre and Bromley has potential but is unproven, Ellis is likely just a backup/rotational lineman.
  18. My updated mock/desired players. I think the first two will add some real toughness, grit, and leadership to the giants D. Sambraillo at the very least will be a G likely on the left side, but has potential to be the LT; versatile guy, plus played with Weston Richburg. 1 - SS Landon Collins, Alabama 6'0 221 2 - LB Stephone Anthony, Clemson 6'3 243 3 - OT Ty Sambraillo, Colorado St 6'6 311 4 - TE Tyler Kroft, Rutgers 6'5 246
  19. 1 (9): Le'Al Collins, OT, LSU (He'll be fine at tackle) 2 (40): Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA 3 (74): Josh Shaw, CB/S, USC 4 (108): Tyeler Davison, DT Fresno State That's who I'd like, but I have a feeling we're going towards SS Landon Collins, or DT Shelton from Washington. I'd be okay with this.
  20. A fifth rounder? That's it????? Why even bother. The success rate of players drafted after the fourth round making it in the NFL is like 0.7%...An NFL team might as well pump in all the extra crowd volume they want, and just part ways with a fifth rounder each year... that investment is more useful than the draft pick itself if it's only a fifth rounder.
  21. All we have is Cooper Taylor and Nat Behre right now. Who the hell is going to start in the backfield?
  22. Bah, Dilfer is the product of small sample size. Generally, the rest of it is a good indication. For instance, Peyton, Jim Kelly, and Tony Romo being towards the bottom, Montana, Eli towards the top
