I don't know if people noticed it, but I think one of the funniest moments this week on MNF. We all saw the Brett Jones holding penalty, first down on the 1 yard-line. To me, this is the kicker: - Brett Jones was taking on a Linebacker (Jarrad Davis, 238 lbs), and was getting absolutely pushed back and couldn't sustain his block. - Next play (which may have been an Eli audible, so I'm not sure who to blame) - We decide to call a shotgun draw running play to where? Directly behind Brett Jones for 0 to -1 yards! What a fucking joke, lol. Yeah, let's run the ball right behind the guy who can't fucking block an LB on his own.

I wouldn't hit the panic button just yet. If not for a stupid PR touchdown against our dumbass special teams, and if not for an idiotic endzone penalty followed by kicking the ball out of bounds, you're looking at a completely different ballgame last Monday. And that's aside from our other mistakes (O-Line, WR drops etc). I will say, the O-Line is going to be an issue all year, and the Eagles D may very well destroy it.

Geno Smith or Davis Webb will both do no better behind this offensive line. As Jim pointed out, practically no QB in the league can play behind this line.

I'm not into the doom and gloom or over-analyzing based on week 1, but our issues go back 8 games into last season. Opposing defenses in this league smell blood. They know they can bully around this offensive line and give Eli happy feet. I think we're going to be challenged to put up 20 points per game this season.

I thought Collinsworth made a good point yesterday. Why not at least suit up Odell, put him in on passing downs only as a decoy, and have him run straight deep routes, just to keep the defense off balance and free up other guys?
