Tiki can't even remember what he himself said...

"I guess I really would have been a Hall of Famer if I had played with heart instead of rushing for 1650 yards with no heart."

Tiki....you yourself said you didn't feel your heart was in the game anymore. Stop trying to cast yourself as something you ain't.

On the other side of this "feud" Eli is handling it perfectly. He didn't back down when initially criticized but once he gave his side of the story he is done with it...Tiki being the drama queen he has to be to be a success in the media of course won't let it end until his overinflated ego feels satisfied after the beating it took from Eli.

I've always stood by Eli. The guy hardly talks and he sure was due a mini explosion to put Tiki in his place.

Barber admits football "may be in my rear view a little bit. But it's still my job. And I care about doing (it) really well."

“During the week I am sitting in a meeting and instead of being solely focused on the Washington Redskins I will be thinking about other things. In the off season for instance I had a chance to come down your way for the White House Correspondence dinner. These things became more important to me than being up here working out.” Barber said.

Siruis link, Under the NFL logo you'll see the barber shop. Its the audio to where they talked about ELI. Listen to all of it...

Barber Twits Twins Slam Eli Manning Again: He is Laughable

Dan BentonPosted Aug 21st 2007 8:37PM by Dan Benton

Filed under: NY Giants, NFL Gossip, New York

Did anyone actually think that the Eli Manning/Tiki Barber feud would end after only a few short days? Did anyone actually think that Barber would allow Manning to have the last word?

If you thought either of those things, you'd be wrong -- and you'd be foolish.

Barber made it a point to address Manning's comments tonight on Siruis Radio's "Barber Shop." He also recruited some help in attempt to further damage Eli's reputation. Twin brother Ronde Barber accompanied Tiki on the set and joyously joined in on a pathetically immature mocking of the New York Giants quarterback.

It was a constant barrage for almost two hours with Ronde making comments about Eli's "testes finally dropping" and Tiki adding that "Kerry Collins was a true leader," claiming the Giants "shouldn't have let him go." They also added that Eli's return-fire was "laughable" and that Tiki is part of the media now and it's his job to be controversial.

Now that the real Tiki has shown himself, a few things have become blatantly obvious. Unlike Lawrence Taylor, Phil Simms and Harry Carson who are ex-Giants, Tiki is just an ex-football player. It's clear that he couldn't care less about the organization and only about himself. Additionally, he has also proven exactly what's wrong with the media when he stated that it's his job to be controversial.

Oddly enough, he fails to realize that his job also involves quality analysis. He's not going to be taken seriously if he continues to make bogus comments like suggesting Kerry Collins was a "true leader." In all fairness to Collins, he was an alcoholic who stumbled his way through an NFL career and got lucky one year with the Giants when the offensive line jelled together for a single fluke season and the defense over-performed. His true leadership skills were exposed in that horrid Super Bowl loss to Baltimore -- a game in which Tiki Barber was rendered irrelevant.

And amongst all the foolish things that spewed from Tiki's mouth, he claimed that he would have been a surefire Hall of Famer had his heart remained in it. Ironic, because he seemed to "lose his heart" when Tom Coughlin came to town, which was actually the moment he became a legitimate running back and stood an actual chance of being considered for football's greatest honor.

Perhaps TiVi is forgetful, so I'll do him a favor and refresh his memory.

Prior to 2004, Tiki Barber was better known for his fumbling problems than his leadership or on-field performances. In fact, the very media that he currently works with questioned him as he now questions Eli. I remember it like it was yesterday: "Barber fumbles again;" "Barber drops the ball;" "Giants need a quality running back to compete."

And finally, who is Ronde Barber to say anything? In a sport where names are made based on victories, Manning is 1-0 against Mr. I wish I was as famous as Tiki.

"Kerry Collins was a true leader,"

:LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO:

People make fun of Eli's expression on the sidelines, but do you guys remember the "Lost in the funhouse" look Kerry used to have?

If that's the kind of feedback Tiki was giving, no kidding the Giants disregarded it.

His book comes out in what, a week or two? Cowinkydink? Doubt it.

Dude, I was thinking the same thing.

When Tiki's book comes out and no doubt slams the Giants players and organization... it's going to galvanize the Giants around their coach and QB.

Another strong performance or two in preseason and this continuing bullshit just might catapult us to two more wins this season than we actually deserve.

Anyone else find it cowardly of Tiki to criticize Eli's leadership after he's retired and not during the what, 3 years, they played together? And with players like Tiki and Strahan on the team already, did Eli really have to be the leader? No, he didn't. There were other guys playing that role already. Now that Tiki's gone, it only makes sense that Eli steps into that role. This whole thing smells of a elementary school girl fight.

Im sure he had alot of feedback, critical or not when they played. Thats just ridiculous to think otherwise.

Elememtary school fight is right, which is why its is even more ridiculous that most on here are getting upset about it. Evry time I hear Tiki talk about it, it aint like whats being said on here. But you guys are hearing something else, I dont get it.

I wonder how Tiki would have felt if Eli tried being the leader Tiki thinks he should be while Tiki was still there....stepping on any toes?

Why would Eli step on Tiki's toes? Tiki was never considered a leader on this team. Chris Collinsworth asked last year, How will the lost of Tiki's leadership impact this team? And he said most of the players he interviewed didn't considered Tiki as a real leader. That's saying something!

Sure, thats what theyre gonna say so they dont alarm anyone into thinking the team will tank when he leaves. Strahan was pretty much considered the overall leader, and Pierce as of late. But encouragement and leadership was pretty much given by many people on the team, Tiki included.

So you didn't hear Tiki call Elis leadership attempts comical, Eli respond with a witty response and then end it there, and then Tiki and Ronde join together for some schoolyard petty namecalling and acted like a bunch of spoiled children?

No, I heard Tiki call the film they watched of Eli with the operatic music in the background comical. Big difference. But everyone has selective hearing, they right away want controversy, so they say he is calling Eli comical. Also, Eli responded to Tiki's comments on the state of the team, and Eli has that right. Just because comments were made, doesnt make it a feud. Thats what we all make it.

I never said it was a feud until Tiki and Ronde got onto their radio show and began acting like 5 year olds....and even then it isn't a real feud because Eli, being the more mature person in this act, has already told the media that he has said his piece and considers the matter done. The fact that Tiki keeps discussing it and has brought his brother into it just feeds the idea it is a feud.

I in no way have an issue with Kerry Collins, I feel the man rejuvinated his life and played well as the NYG QB from 99-03, it was a great story, but I wonder this question?

DId Tiki Barber, an African American man, one who is smart(at least he thinks so) and educated did he EVER have a problem with this man, whom he claims to be such a great leader, having used a racial slur to refer to one of his teammates, albeit in a drunken state, but used nonetheless?

My guess is that Kerry Collins did not do too much getting in the face of his teamates, knowing that quite possibly in the back of their minds they viewed him as the racist/drunken/quitter he was labeled as, especially the African American guys. My guess is Kerry did a lot of ass smooching.

This whole thing is stupid, like two jocks measuring their dicks in the shower.

Tiki is media. He should've given his opinion then been done with the issue.

Now I can see the real Tiki, and I'm surprised I could never see the humongous ego before.

Who's you rather have as your "leader"?

A guy who calls out his coach after getting 10 touches, and had words for a teammate when that teammate was going through a contract dispute, or a guy who NEVER pointed a finger at anyone while turmoil swirled around him along with constant negativity thrown at him from teammates and media?

Go get 'em in '07 Eli !!!!!!!
